Stephanie Sawyer

Hello! My name is Stephanie Sawyer and I am the Assistant Principal at Los Cerros. I am starting my 5th year in Administration in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. I spent 2 years as a high school Assistant Principal (California High School and Dougherty Valley High School) and 2 years working as a Program Supervisor in the Special Education department at the District Office. Prior to moving into Administration I worked as a middle and high school Special Education teacher at Windemere Ranch and then opened up Dougherty Valley High School as a teacher. I truly believe that all students can learn and that it is vital that we are inspiring students to do their best work each day. Allowing students have a balanced life is essential to their academic and social-emotional growth.

My husband, Jon, also works in the district as a counselor at Del Amigo High School and we feel very fortunate to be able to work in this school district. We have a 9 year old daughter who loves being a part of our school communities and when we have time we go to as many Giants and Sharks games as possible!  I grew up in Danville and graduated from San Ramon Valley High school and know what a fabulous community and district this is and am proud to work here. After high school, I attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara where I obtained by B.A. In Kinesiology and then attended Azusa Pacific University where I obtained my credential and Master of Arts in Education; Special Education. I am thankful to be a part of the Panther Community!
