Darren Briemle

Darren Briemle

Hello there! My name is Mr. Briemle, and I teach PE and Leadership at Los Cerros.  I have been teaching in the SRVUSD for 16 years, and this is my 11th year at Los Cerros.  My parents were both high school teachers and each retired after 37 years of teaching.  They met at Granada high where they were teaching.  I attended St. Mary's College where I played football all 4 years, and graduated in 1998.  I also got my teaching credential at St. Mary's.

My wife Mary and I met at Sycamore Elementary where we were both teaching.  She has since taken a break from the education profession and started a family/newborn photography business and she is fabulous!  This summer we celebrated our 11th year of marriage.  We have 3 boys ages 8, 5, and 2.  I have coached high school football for the past 13 years.  I love the game of football and am an avid Denver Broncos fan.

Teaching PE and Leadership at Los Cerros is awesome.  I love the challenge that teaching leadership brings, as well as being able to start each day with such an energetic, kind, and fun group of students.  I love that my "classroom" has a real life mountain as a back drop.  I get to work with one of my best friends (Mr. Nelson), and love exercise, fitness and sports!
