Los Cerros News

Congratulations to Shelby Hagen who was caught being good this week!
Please come by the office to pick up your prize. Who will win next?

From the Principal:

As the school year progresses we at Los Cerros are experiencing many “firsts”. Our first use of School Loop for Progress Reports, our first PTA and School Site Council meetings, and our first school year Staff Development Day.

On Friday, October 3, the Los Cerros staff will gather together to study and analyze our STAR test data with the outcome of supporting our struggling students. The use of data in designing and improving curriculum has proven successful in many schools and with the use of district supported data systems, such as Achieve Data, and state support systems, such as Just For the Kids, there are many opportunities for study and reflection. In the afternoon subject level teams will be meeting around the district and meeting with their peers. The school office will be closed on Friday.

Next week is Conference Week and we’ve included the schedule in this Panther Press. We look forward to meeting with you and your student. Please remember that school dismisses each day at 11:15am.

As always thank you to the many volunteers who help us monitor lunch, volunteer in our office, and help with many of the extracurricular activities at Los Cerros. We couldn’t do without your support.
